It’s that time of year again – the decorations come out, the costumes go on and parents try and find ways to keep the sugar highs down – that’s right, Halloween has arrived! We’ve pulled together some fun crafts and activities to keep your little ghosts and goblins busy and out of the candy bowl this weekend! See below for fun ideas to keep your kids busy throughout all the festivities.
We hope you have been enjoying your spring-almost summer!
We’ve been busy prepping for warm weather events which is why we thought we’d share a quick post about how to celebrate an occasion when you’re away for the weekend up at a cottage.
Happy March everyone! We’re dreaming of warm weather and spring flowers to come — but we have a feeling it’ll be a long few weeks before we get there… however we’ve discovered the perfect place to get warmed up and ready for spring; enter: Sky Zone Toronto!
We’re always interested in finding places we can get active with our little ones, and it’s rare to find a fitness centre that accommodates children with specific programming. If this is something you and your family need, look no further than the world’s first indoor trampoline park: the inventors of “fun fitness”!
The Toronto location opened in March of 2013, and offers open jump, a SkySlam court, SkyRobics fitness classes, Ultimate Dodgeball and Foam Zone. For just about any age, shape or size, Sky Zone Toronto is the ultimate 3-D play experience – fun for the whole family!

Hello to all our Little Party-Goers readers! We hope everyone’s week is going well and that everyone had a great Family Day with their loved ones on Monday.
We’ve been trying our best to handle this bitter cold weather we’ve been getting in Toronto, and lately have been looking for places to keep busy and stay warm with our little ones, and we think we’re in luck! Enter, The Clay Room! This shop is a paint-your-own-ceramics place where people of all ages and abilities are welcome. They have a variety of over 300 white ceramic pieces and 60 paint colours to choose from, and all of their paints are dinnerware safe and non-toxic – perfect for kids!
If you’ve ever wanted to create a unique personalized ceramic piece but didn’t want to attend a long, structured pottery class, then The Clay Room is for you.

Happy February to all our Little Party-Goers!
We’re so excited to be sharing this week’s Goodie Spotlight on a neighbourhood shop that has everything from A-Z for children’s entertainment and parent needs: Silly Goose Kids! Opened by two kid-loving-ladies, Shamie Ramgoolam and Tracey Jacobs, this fun shop on the Danforth (at Woodbine) carries toys, books, crafts and must-haves for new parents, like carriers, onesies and slings.
Whenever we can, we like to buy at local, independent stores for anything we need for our kiddies or their parties – and so we were very excited to hear about this little shop in our city, which offers an array of entertaining and educational materials as well as the practical stuff like rubber boots and Kleen Kanteens. What’s more is Silly Goose Kids is more than just a retail store – it’s a place parents and kids go to for workshops, classes, concerts and more!

This week we’re throwing it back to last year when we did a Fox and the Hare themed photo shoot with Alex Albojer of LifeImages and Tayna List of Tanya List Design and Floral. The models in these photos are Alex’s adorable children and the cake featured was by Lori Hutchinson of The Caketress. The photo shoot would have not been complete without candy…a whole lot of it from LOL Candy . There were also several different talented event professionals that we worked with to put this shoot together, all of whom are listed here. Part of the photo shoot was also featured on Wedluxe’s blog last fall which you can check out: http://wedluxe.com/petitefete/.
Happy December to all our party-goers!
We’re very excited to introduce this week’s Goodie Spotlight feature – BOMB Fitness, the Danforth’s latest training space offering flexible group exercise classes and private training in a more focused and intimate atmosphere.
We know it’s that time of year everyone starts to let loose; eating lots of holiday sweets and delicious big dinners, so naturally we decided to reach out to a great neighbourhood gym that wants to help keep you on track over the holidays! Unlike big box gyms, BOMB Fitness staff strive to learn the names of all their clients, and most importantly notice when they’re not attending classes – talk about customer care!
What really drew us to feature the BOMB is the fact that they also include kids in their programming – with their after school Fit Kids program, P.A. day activities and day camp for when school’s out!

This week we got the chance to chat with a sweet (pun intended) little shop in the Beaches called Moo Milk Bar! This quaint spot on Queen East has got your milk n’ cookies cravings covered. We’ve quite honestly never seen such a diverse cookie selection at one shop – and with more than 15 different types of milks for sale to pair with your sweets, anyone would be in milk n’ cookies heaven. The brains behind this great little spot is former NYC chef Danielle Oron, who moved to Toronto to open a shop and bring things back to basics.
We love the fact that Moo Milk Bar has such a classic and simple way of doing sweets – but that they also go all out for special events like weddings or birthdays with beautiful, and most importantly delicious cakes and pies!

This week our Goodie Spotlight is focusing on the lovely and absolutely charming flower/antique shop, Coriander Girl. Opened in 2009 and owned by new mama Alison Westlake, this little shop is definitely on our #inspiration radar.
At LPG we love all things creative and visual, and that’s why we are so excited to be featuring this sweet little Parkdale gem. The shop has been featured in numerous Canadian publications such as House & Home, Chatelaine, Flare and Toronto Life – just to name a few! From weddings and parties to “I’m sorry” bouquets, this shop has something for every occasion. Not to mention locally sourced crafts and antiques!
